Associate

Graeme joined Richard Murphy Architects in July 2000 as Project Architect working on a private housing project at Cramond in Edinburgh (£14m) and was appointed an Associate in 2007. He has since been Project Architect for various housing developments in Edinburgh for both the public and private sectors.

Graeme was the Project Architect for the New Build Crescent Apartments in the grounds of Donaldson's College in Edinburgh for CALA homes (£23m) and the new Greenock Ferry Terminal & George Wyllie Gallery (£5.5m) due for completion February 2023.

In addition to his housing experience, Graeme has extensive knowledge of the health sector and has recently completed two dementia units at Stratheden Hospital for NHS Fife (£6.8m). Previously, he was Associate in Charge of the Conan Doyle Medical Centre in Edinburgh completed in 2007 (£2.5m) and Bio-Sciences Laboratories at the Stratford Campus of the University of East London. He was closely involved in our PFI bid for the Community Hospital and Health centre in St Andrews and Highlands & Islands Airports new Control Centre in Inverness.

Graeme is currently Project Architect for the renovation, conversion and new build elements of Papple Steading in East Lothian due to start on site in July 2023.

Finally, Graeme leads a team with overall responsibility for technical compliance and has recently guided the practice through its successful accreditation under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
